New mommy Dia Mirza shares a picture of her baby boy Avyaan | Hindi Movie News - Bollywood - Times of India

New mommy Dia Mirza couldn't be happier with the latest addition to her family. The actress, who gave birth to her first child with her husband Vaibhav Rekhi in May, has now treated all her fans and followers with a picture of her little munchkin, much to everyone's delight. While we can't see the baby's face, his little hands and the onesie he wore were enough to bring a smile to our faces. Announcing the birth of her child, two months after his birth, Dia had shared a picture of her son's little hand. She revealed that they have named him Avyaan Azaad Rekhi. In a deeply personal and emotional note, she revealed that her and Vaibhav’s son was born prematurely, on May 14. She penned, 'To paraphrase Elizabeth Stone, ‘To have a child is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.’ These words perfectly exemplify Vaibhav & my feelings right now. Our heartbeat, our son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi was born on May 14th. Having arrived early, our little miracle has since then been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors in the Neonatal ICU.' She continued, 'A sudden appendectomy during my pregnancy and a subsequent and very severe bacterial infection could have led to sepsis and proven to be life threatening. Thankfully, the timely care and intervention by our doctor ensured the safe birth of our baby via an emergency C-section.' Dia said that with the birth of Avyaan, she and Vaibhav are learning ‘true meaning of trusting the universe and of parenthood’. Meanwhile, the actress is currently keeping busy taking care of her little one and enjoying every moment of it, as is clearly visible in her new post. While Avyaan is Dia's first child, it is the second for Vaibhav, who is the father to a daughter Samaira from his first marriage. The actress and Vaibhav Rekhi tied the knot on February 15.
