The film has proven beneficial for all those who are associated with it. For Ajay, it’s a bounce back after the debacle of Bholaa. For R Madhavan, it turned out to be a much-needed big commercial winner in Bollywood after Tanu Weds Manu Returns, which came out in 2015. For director Vikas Bahl, it’s his successful comeback after the failure of Goodbye and Ganapath.

Coming back to the collection update, Shaitaan, as per the recent update, has earned 142.72 crores net in India, which equals 168.40 crores in gross. In the overseas market, the film has done a business of 34 crores so far. Combining the Indian and overseas gross, the worldwide box office collection stands at 202.40 crores gross.

With the milestone of 200 crores being crossed globally, Shaitaan has joined Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter in achieving the feat in 2024 for Bollywood. Also, with 202.40 crores gross, it has surpassed the lifetime of Ajay Devgn’s Singham Returns (201 crores gross) in the list of highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time globally.

The next target is Akshay Kumar’s Padman, which did a business of 203.05 crores gross. It’ll also surpass the lifetime of Kesari (205.54 crores gross) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (206.95 crores gross). After crossing the aforementioned films, Shaitaan might move out of theatres as it has already slowed down. Also, two mega Eid releases, Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, are arriving on 10th April, thus leaving the horror thriller with practically no screens to play.
