Mumbai rave party: Here are the main arguments Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan made in his bail plea | Hindi Movie News - Bollywood - Times of India

No relief for Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan as the starkid along with seven other accused in the cruise ship drug case were sent to judicial custody for the next 14 days. According to sources, Aryan and others will remain in NCB's custody as no new accused is allowed inside the jail premises after 6 PM in absence of a COVID report. NCB had requested the extension of custody for four more days, however the court rejected it while stating that increasing NCB custody without reason is cogent ground for violating liberty. However NCB had stated that it is conducting raids daily and 'anyone arrested in those raids would be needed to be confronted with the present accused.' Replying to this, Aryan's lawyer read his statement on his behalf. It stated 'Officers interrogated me and took me under arrest. I have no connection to any of the organizers. I do not deny my friendship with Arbaaz but I am not connected with his activities. They have interrogated me on the basis of my chats. They have not interrogated me for two nights. Why is custodial interrogation required now?' Aryan's lawyer also argued that 'there is a series of chats between Aryan and Pratik Gaba but it does not refer to any rave party, they are investigating a rave party.' Other major points of the arguments were 'People who are put in judicial custody can also be confronted when required'. Aryan's lawyer further added, 'Yesterday after they arrested him (Achit Kumar), they could have confronted him with Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant. NCB is well equipped, they have more than 100 officers.' Another point argued by Aryan's lawyer was 'How long does it take them to download chats? Tomtomming from the rooftops does not make it a conspiracy. Chats (with Achit Kumar) are about football and football does not contain any drugs.' Meanwhile, the case will now be heard by a special NDPS court and Aryan Khan's bail plea is scheduled to be heard on October 8.
